Today too, rising starlite, ATHENIA HENDERSON will be in the spotlight again: from 9pm to 11pm at the FONTANA'S BAR, 105 ELDRIDGE STREET, NEW YORK So if your're in that area, and can make it, go support our own.
From 12pm GMT, all our members are invited to tune in to
our the first international teleconference on our sisiter internet tv channel SUSSEXVIDEOSANDTELEVISION. Its going to be fun, we have interesting persons from Spain, Sweden, Australia, Holland, United Kingdom etc all signed up for the event. A SVTV player widget has also been posted on our front page to facilitate easy viewing from DIABLOTIN MUSIC.
While our membership continues to grow, we urge you to spread the word among your peers of the all the resources that we have here to share, all free an accessable to all.No advertising works better than word of mouth.
We have noticed that members are not taking the opportunity to start new group or join existing ones, posting songs and photographs, we would like to a lot more activity going on.
Before we go, We would just like to welcome our two latest members, Kedron Popo, and McCarthy Marie, that brings our membership to 37. By the end of the year we would like to see our stats shoot up to aout 200....no kidding. There are lots of Dominican musician at home and abroad that should be listed in our number.

As each of you may well be aware , it’s been about a week since the launch of SVTV and DIABLOTIN TELEVISON, both are on-line internet 24/7 web cast live stream global video quality programming channels with a diverse selection of news, music, documentaries, interviews, etc appealing to a wide audience of viewers, compliments of Mogulus Studio Live Broadcast.
DIABLOTIN TELEVISION, specifically aimed at promoting Dominican Musicians and other relevant content for the betterment of development of Dominica’s nature and culture, but in order for us to achieve that goal we need your further participation. Those of you who have videos and/or those who would like their you tube videos to be continued to be included and featured need to express your continued desire of interest in participation in writing .
This will not in any way affect your copyright. This is simply a promotional service at no cost to you and of no monetary value to us. You are free to embed the channel(s) to any website that is HTML friendly in the course of promoting yourself. We are actively in the process of making plans in the 2009 New Year to produce our own in-house programs and to have regular live discussions where you will be able to join us with a web cam as Production Team Members in Tele-Conferencing.
This will allow us to further discuss issues such as: copyrights, showbiz, music, arranging and engineering, making music videos, opportunities on the internet for music and song writing, music competitions, interviews, previews, marketing your music, etc. All with the view of supporting each other in our quest. If this sounds like you, please respond in writing before Dec 31, 2008. After that date we will have no other alternative , without your permission , other than to remove your videos that were placed during our launch.

Diablotin Television is recruiting personnel to join its production team.
We are seeking: reporters, researches,videographers, local, regional and
international promoters.
You will have:
A desire to contribute voluntarily to a non- profit, social networking
site, television production service and record label, aimed at
promoting the music and culture of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
You will be:
Computer literate, an understanding of communicative skills, able to work independently with microsoft word, digital, audio and other internet applications.
Report on Dominican artistes/ musicans and their activities in your locality.
Attend their gigs, concerts and press conferences with the view of producing news stories and features to be used in our broadcasts and newsletters etc.
All vacancies at the moment are on a voluntary and freelance basis. However, positions will be filled on a first come first served basis.
Applicants, regardless of their level of education, formal or informal, will be expected to grow with us, and to avail themselves of any in-house training as and when available.

The administrators of MUSICIANS OF DOMINICA thank all members who have made the launching of this social network a success.
WE believe in the power of the internet, and the World Wide Web. It is, in our opinion, an excellent medium through which humanity can accelerate the process of creating a unified world, and heal the wounds of ignorance, while offering a better understanding of the diverse cultures that populate the world. Also the web is a means of instant communication, between individuals, or very, very large numbers of persons.
Ning was created in October 2004 by Marc and Gina Bianchini as an experiment,"We started Ning with a simple premise. We wanted to see what would happen if everyone had the freedom to create their own social network for anything," says Gina, CEO and Co-founder, adding, " We thought the results would be amazing, but they have truly surpassed our expectations. From artists to musicians, athletes, bloggers, video channels, journalists, students, educators, parents, craft hobbyists, alumni, and interest groups, the range and diversity of the social networks on Ning are profound."

WE have expanded our profile questions to give you the artiste more opportunity to share with persons, musicians, journalists etc who come across our network, and in addition, we have started some discussion groups. Feel free to chime in.
Being great fans of social networks, and mp3 hosting sites such as: myspace, soundclick, reverbnation, tagworld to name a few, we are confident, that membership in THIS network will open new horizons for Dominican musicians.
I am sure that if you have been reading up to this point that you will have some response, some suggestions or maybe even questions on how to use html to illustrate your page. WE will help you as much as we can.

Hi Gordon,
Albert and I appreciate you sharing your very inspiring testimony of truth. This is what it is all about. In reading it we as well as others have even a greater appreciation of you and your success.
As you have so eloquently pointed out and given credit where due we all are prividged to be able to learn from you. You touch base on some very key points. The foremost that stands out with us is that you have to have a vision and you have to be willing to make it happen against all odds.
Both Albert and I in each of our individual livces as did you had that inner drive and faith in doing what was needed to get to where we wanted to be. That does not come easy nor is it given to you. Many times as with any profession, you are faced with obstacles and challenges that many times you feel like giving up. What your testimony has done for us and we hope for others that come and join us will see the reality and not be discouraged but on the contrary, inspired by you and others like you that show you have been where we are all trying to go.
And hopefully, by continuing to work together with high work ethics we can continue to spread across the globe the richness of Dominican culture through it's music. We thank you again for being such an inspiration.

We are so glad that you have joined us here on this site: MUSICIANS OF DOMINICA.
WE know that you will make a worthy contribution, as you have done in your career thus far.
I can never for get as a child listening and learning the chords and lyrics of all your hits, such as Rosita, Fism, Gader Deye, On N Homme Tomber,Ico Vole to name a few.
Your group of musicians, too, Vivian Wallace, Fitztroy Williams, Julie Mourillon, and the rest all made an excellent contribution to the success of Exile One.
The time when will come when Dominica's culture will receive the recognotion that it deserves.
WE must strive all the more to build on the work of persons like Eddie Toulon, who was the pioneer of the World Creole Music Festival, and Marcel D'Jamala Fontaine who created the first Kweyol dictionary and tourist guide. And not forgetting Edward Leblance many of our cultural symbols and festivals might never have been recognised.
All this you have managed to put in song.
And for these reasons, Tempie and I welcome you again.
