Music of Dominica is no ordinary social networking - mp3 video hosting site. It is with the primary intent of having a ‘hangout’ where Dominican Musicians and/or persons who appreciate the culturally diverse music of Dominicans at home or abroad. Coming together to share a craft or experience or latest trend in the music industry.
By being part of our producing team we will be able to connect and do live web casting, including live interviews, shows, performances, etc. Also, those of you who own your copyright with your own videos and/or those who would like their own you tube videos to be included in our program line up need to express to us in writing.
This will not in any way affect your copyright. This is simply a promotional service at no cost to you and of no monetary value to us. You are free to embed the channel(s) to any website that is HTML friendly in the course of promoting yourself. WE believe in the power of the internet, and the World Wide Web. It is, in our opinion, an excellent medium through which humanity can accelerate the process of creating a unified world, and heal the wounds of ignorance, while offering a better understanding of the diverse cultures that populate the world. Also the web is a means of instant communication, between individuals, or very, very large numbers of persons.
Ning was created in October 2004 by Marc and Gina Bianchini as an experiment,"We started Ning with a simple premise. We wanted to see what would happen if everyone had the freedom to create their own social network for anything," says Gina, CEO and Co-founder, adding, " We thought the results would be amazing, but they have truly surpassed our expectations. From artists to musicians, athletes, bloggers, video channels, journalists, students, educators, parents, craft hobbyists, alumni, and interest groups, the range and diversity of the social networks on Ning are profound."
For this reason, following in the footsteps of Diane Corriette, who started Dominica Disapora, and Raglan Riviere who started Writers of Dominca, we have introduced Musicians of Dominica which we expect to grow, as word gets around with your help.
WE have expanded our profile questions to give you the artiste more opportunity to share with persons, musicians, journalists etc who come across our network, and in addition, we have started some discussion groups. Feel free to chime in.
Being great fans of social networks, and mp3 hosting sites such as: myspace, soundclick, reverbnation, tagworld to name a few, we are confident, that membership in THIS network will open new horizons for Dominican musicians.
